Portland Timbers midfielder Sebastian Blanco will depart the club this winter as his contract expires, ending a seven-year tenure at the club which included MLS Cup appearances in 2018 and 2021. The Timbers also won the MLS Is Back Tournament in 2020 where Blanco carried the group with three goals and five assists. He was named best player of the tournament but tore his ACL a month after the season resumed.
