The club was originally known as Beaconsfield United, but in 1994, it merged with another local team, Slough Centre, to form Beaconsfield SYCOB (an acronym for Slough Youth Club Old Boys). In 2017, the club underwent a rebranding and adopted its current name, Beaconsfield Town.

The Rams, as they are affectionately known, play their home games at Holloways Park, a stadium with a capacity of 2,000 spectators.
