Caxias

Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa Caxias do Sul, commonly known as Caxias, is a Brazilian football club based in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The team was founded on April 10, 1935, through the merger of two local clubs, Ruy Barbosa and Juventude. The club's colors are grená (a shade of red) and white, and they play their home matches at the Estádio Francisco Stédile, also known as Centenário, which has a capacity of approximately 30,822 spectators.

Caxias has a modest but proud history in Brazilian football. The club has spent most of its existence in the lower divisions of the Brazilian football league system but has occasionally made appearances in the top tier, the Série A.
