Chorley

Chorley Football Club, often known as the Magpies due to their black and white striped uniforms, is a semi-professional football club based in Chorley, Lancashire, England. The club was established in 1883 and has a rich history, marked by numerous successes and challenges.

Chorley FC competes in the National League North, the sixth tier of English football. Their home matches are played at Victory Park, a stadium with a capacity of over 4,000 spectators. The club's crest features a magpie, a nod to their nickname, and the town's coat of arms, symbolising their deep roots in the local community.

The Magpies have experienced several periods of success throughout their history. They won the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy 18 times and the Northern Premier League three times. Their most significant achievement came in the 2020-2021 season when they reached the second round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history, defeating Wigan Athletic and Peterborough United, both of whom play in higher leagues.
