Oriental Lisboa

Oriental Lisboa, officially known as Clube Oriental de Lisboa, is a professional football club based in Lisbon, Portugal. The club was founded on August 8, 1946, following the merger of three local clubs - Chelas, Marvilense, and Os Fósforos. The amalgamation was aimed at creating a stronger team that could represent the eastern part of Lisbon more effectively in the footballing world.

Oriental Lisboa's emblem, a dragon, symbolizes the club's determination, strength, and ambition. The club's primary colors are green and white, which are reflected in their home kit. The team plays its home games at the Campo Engenheiro Carlos Salema, a stadium with a seating capacity of approximately 8,500 spectators.

In its early years, Oriental Lisboa made a name for itself in the regional leagues. However, the club's most significant achievement came in the 1955-56 season when they earned promotion to the Primeira Divisão, the top tier of Portuguese football. Oriental Lisboa remained in the top division for over a decade, with their highest finish being 5th place in the 1956-57 season.

The club's youth academy has produced several players who have gone on to have successful careers in Portugal and abroad.
