Bhayangkara FC is a prominent figure in the Liga 1, the top tier of Indonesian football, and has a reputation for nurturing local talent and promoting them to the first team.
The club was initially known as Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Jakarta (Persebaya Jakarta) and later changed to Bhayangkara Surabaya United after a merger with Surabaya United in 2016. However, in the same year, the club was renamed Bhayangkara FC, a name it has retained since.
Bhayangkara FC's journey in the Indonesian football scene has been quite remarkable. Despite its relatively short history, the club has managed to make a significant impact. In 2017, just a year after its rebranding, Bhayangkara FC clinched the Liga 1 title, a feat that marked a significant milestone in the club's history. This victory not only established Bhayangkara FC as a formidable force in Indonesian football but also underscored its commitment to promoting and developing local talent.
