Founded on February 15, 1926, the club has a rich history and is one of the most successful football teams in the country. Águila competes in the Salvadoran Primera División, the top tier of El Salvador football.
The club's name, Águila, translates to "Eagle" in English, a symbol of strength and power that the team has embodied throughout its history. The team's colors are orange and black, and they play their home games at the Estadio Juan Francisco Barraza, a stadium with a capacity of 10,000 spectators.
Throughout its history, Águila has won numerous national titles, making it one of the most decorated clubs in El Salvador.
