Municipal Limeño's colors are green and white, and their home games are played at the Estadio Jose Ramon Flores, a stadium with a capacity of 10,000 spectators. The team's nickname is "Los Cucheros," a term that refers to the people who cut sugarcane, a significant industry in the region.
The club's journey through the years has seen it experience both highs and lows. After its establishment, Municipal Limeño spent several years in the lower divisions before earning promotion to the top tier, Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador, in 1968. However, the team was relegated again after just one season. The following decades were marked by a series of promotions and relegations, reflecting the team's struggle to maintain a consistent presence in the top flight.

The club won the Segunda División (second division) title in 1989, 1999, and 2016, and the Tercera División (third division) title in 2014. In the 2019-2020 season, they achieved their best performance in the Primera División by finishing second in the Apertura tournament.
Municipal Limeño made history in 2020 when they qualified for the CONCACAF League, the second most important club competition in the region. They reached the quarterfinals, their best international performance to date, which demonstrated the club's growth and potential on a larger stage.
Throughout its history, Municipal Limeño has been home to many talented players who have contributed to the club's successes. These include Salvadoran internationals like William Reyes and Ramón Sánchez, as well as foreign players like Honduran Jerry Palacios and Colombian Charles Cordoba.
Off the field, Municipal Limeño is deeply rooted in its community. The club organizes various social and cultural activities for its fans and local residents, reinforcing its commitment to the development of the region.
In conclusion, Club Deportivo Municipal Limeño is more than just a football club. It is a symbol of pride and identity for the people of Santa Rosa de Lima. Despite the challenges and obstacles, the club continues to strive for success, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination that characterizes its community.
