Over the years, the club has experienced various highs and lows, showcasing the resilience and determination that is characteristic of Serbian football.
Dubočica's journey began in the local leagues, where they quickly established themselves as a formidable team. Their success in the regional competitions eventually led to their promotion to the national league. The club's first major breakthrough came in the 1965-66 season when they earned a place in the Serbian Republic League, the third tier of Yugoslav football. This marked the beginning of Dubočica's rise in Serbian football, with the club consistently performing well in the subsequent seasons.
The club's golden era came in the 1990s when they reached the top tier of Yugoslav football, the First League. However, the club's fortunes took a turn for the worse in the early 2000s, with financial difficulties leading to their relegation to the lower leagues. Despite these challenges, Dubočica remained committed to their philosophy of developing young talent and promoting attractive, attacking football. This approach has seen the club produce a number of promising players who have gone on to achieve success both domestically and internationally.
In recent years, Dubočica has shown signs of a resurgence, with the club earning promotion to the Serbian First League in 2018. Since then, they have continued to compete in the second tier of Serbian football, demonstrating their resilience and determination to return to the top flight.
