Paris Saint-Germain triumphed 2-1 on Saturday thanks to a late Randal Kolo Muani winner against Nantes, with Monaco winning to go second. Bradley Barcola's stylish finish just before the break gave PSG the lead, but a Mostafa Mohamed header in the second half made it look as if the points would be shared in the capital. However, Kolo Muani pounced in the six-yard box seven minutes from time to allow PSG to open up a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Football Club de Nantes, commonly referred to as FC Nantes or simply Nantes, is a professional football club based in Nantes, France. Established in 1943 during World War II, the club has since become one of the most successful in French football history.
Nantes plays its home matches at the Stade de la Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau, a stadium with a seating capacity of over 37,000. The club's traditional colors are yellow and green, which are reflected in their home kit and club crest, depicting a yellow canary on a green background. This has earned them the nickname "Les Canaris" (The Canaries).
The club's early years were marked by steady progress, culminating in their promotion to the top-tier French league, Ligue 1, in 1963. Nantes quickly established itself as a dominant force in French football, winning its first league title in the 1964-65 season. The club's golden era came in the 1970s and 1980s when they won several league titles and reached the semi-finals of the European Cup.
Nantes has produced a number of notable players who have gone on to achieve significant success both domestically and internationally. These include Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, and Christian Karembeu, all of whom were part of the French national team that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Despite facing financial difficulties and relegation battles in the early 2000s, Nantes has managed to maintain its status in Ligue 1 and continues to be a competitive side. The club's youth academy, known as the "Nantes School", is renowned for its player development and has produced many players who have gone on to play at the highest level.
The club's history is also marked by tragedy. In 2019, former Nantes player Emiliano Sala died in a plane crash while traveling to join his new club, Cardiff City. The incident deeply affected the club and its supporters, and Sala is remembered as one of Nantes' most talented and beloved players.
Nantes' philosophy is rooted in attractive, attacking football, a style that has endeared them to fans and neutrals alike. Despite the ups and downs, the club remains a symbol of resilience and a testament to the enduring appeal of the beautiful game.
In summary, FC Nantes is a club with a rich history and a strong identity. From its humble beginnings to its rise as one of France's most successful football clubs, Nantes has left an indelible mark on French football. With its commitment to youth development and its distinctive style of play, the club continues to contribute significantly to the sport.
